Phil Brown sacked at Hull City - Gary Megson favourite to get job

Gary Megson has emerged as the favourite to become the next permanent manager of Hull City following the departure of Phil Brown on Monday.

Brown was "relieved of his duties and placed on gardening leave" according to the Hull City website - but he made it clear that he was being sacked.

The bookmakers were unsure as to who would step into the managers shoes at Hull City, but punters have piled in to make Gary Megson a firm favourite.
