Miami Heat favourites for NBA Championship

The Miami Heat secured their spot in the NBA Finals with a Game 5 win over the Chicago Bulls last Thursday and after losing the series opener in Chicago, the Heat looked as dominant as any team in the league.

Now with the Finals on the horizon, LeBron James and company gear up for a showdown with Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks.

The Heat-Mavericks pairing is nothing new for NBA fans, nor is it for Nowitzki and Heat All-Star Dwyane Wade. The two teams met in the 2006 NBA Finals with Wade and Miami taking the eventual crown.

Now instead of Shaquille O’Neal, Wade will turn to James and Chris Bosh for assistance, while Nowitzki simply tries to avenge his own loss.
