FOOTBALL : Chelsea win 2012 Champions League on penalties

Chelsea grabbed a dramatic Champions League title following a penalty shoot-out win over Bayern Munich at the home of the German side.

Bayern dominated the match throughout with 34 shots to 9, and looked to have won the game in normal time when Thomas Mueller headed home at the far post in the 83rd minute.

But with only two minutes left in the game, Didier Drogba headed in from Chelsea's first and only corner of the match to take the game to extra-time.

Chelsea keeper Petr Cech saved an Arjen Robben's penalty in extra-time to keep the sides level after Drogba had tripped Franck Ribery from behind and take the match into a penalty shoot-out.

Drogba scored the decisive spot-kick in the shoot-out.

FULLTIME : Bayern Munich 1 (Muller 83) v Chelsea 1 (Drogba 88)
Chelsea win 4-3 on penalties.
